The Blog

Hi everybody! We are working out some of the qwirks on the blog, I hope you like the changes :) I think everyone should be able to post here on the main page now (and they should have the newest posts at the top) we will see how it works out. There are applications for adding photos, slideshows and videos- if anyone has family pictures they want to share you can email them to me (kfraga22@gmail.com). Post any other ideas you have and spread the word to family members that aren't on here yet! Happy New Year! xoxo Katie

  1. Hi Margie and John,
The book we were talking about at Maureen's is called "Shattered Air", by Bob Madgic. For those of you who don't know...for John Lang's 40th birthday a group of about 6 guys climbed Half Dome in Yosemite. Steve Fraga and Michael Mahoney were among the climbers. They stared out at dawn and were on their way back when another group were climbing up. Clouds were gathering and there are signs telling you not to ascend if clouds are gathering. They warned this group. That day two men were struck by lighting and killed on Half Dome. One or two of the survivors got a helicopter ride to Dr. Medical in Modesto (the same hospital that I was taken to after our accident). Anyway, it's a page turner. Our guys had a great time. John lugged up a video camera the size of a brief case - oh - and a 12 pack of beer! Happy reading! Kelli

  2. Thanx Kelly - I ordered it today on Amazon.com. Should be great reading! Thanks for passing on that info. It was GREAT to see everyone on Saturday at Maureen's --- she really knows how to give a party, huh?! The crab/shrimp feed was a real treat for all, I'm sure. (Hope everyone made a $$ "contribution"!)

The book exchange might have been better if we'd all known a little longer in advance ... I, for one, had just "donated" many books to friends and various "causes" up here a few months ago. Would have had many! But it was nice to know that we ALL continue to READ - Yayy! I'll try to keep that in mind and bring whatever we have in February to the "big gathering"! :)

Great to see everyone there -- particularly nieces and nephews. But, as always, never enough time to catch up as we'd like. But.... after all -- that's what the BLOG is for, right?! Pass it along to all of us y'all.!

Katie - really missed seeing you on Sat. - loved what you've done already with the blog ... but, how can we get the MOST RECENT posts to show on the home page instead of the old stuff? I'm counting on you to "educate" me! :0

    Love to all,
    Margie

  3. Kelli-
The book arrived yesterday and he's already read it! Great reading. I'm thinking maybe Roger would like to read it too - right? Let me know, Roger, and we'll get the book to you. John was MESmerized!

Great weather up here in the Central Sierra this past week - still snow on the ground, but bright, sunny days. I even changed the screen saver on my office computer to this lovely SPRING scene! :) I've already had enough of the snow ... :)
Hope all is well with everyone. Keep on bloggin'!

    Margie
